Hi and welcome to Purposely Ever After!

Lean In had a tremendous impact on me, and, ever since I read it, I’ve thought constantly about how to put it into practice. Purposely Ever After is my realtime attempt at building a 50-50 partnership with my husband, Jason. Here, I’ll share some of the strategies we’ve developed to support a dual career partnership, including how to divvy up the “mental load” of a relationship fairly, have early-on and ongoing conversations about supporting each others’ careers, take advantage of the massive amount of data on marriage to plan for an uncertain future, and more. I’ll also share the many questions, unknowns, and challenges (there have been so many!) that have come up along the way.
